Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has urged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains to resign due to multiple paper leaks in the state. Warring emphasized the need for accountability, drawing parallels to national leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He highlighted the lack of action and investigation following four significant paper leak incidents under the Bhagwant Mann government, including leaks in Group-B, Class 12 English, PSTET, and Pharmacist Recruitment Exam papers.

The Punjab Congress President referenced AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s statement that a responsible leader would be compelled to resign in the event of a paper leak in Punjab. He questioned the delay in accountability and action, stressing that Punjab’s youth deserve answers, not excuses. Warring also criticized the handling of protests related to paper leaks, citing instances where students were allegedly mistreated by the police during demonstrations against the leaked pharmacy paper.

Moreover, the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee staged a protest against the Delhi Police’s use of force on students protesting at Jantar Mantar over paper leaks and corruption in the education system. Chandigarh unit President H.S. Lucky expressed concerns over the impact of paper leaks on recruitment and competitive examinations nationwide, affecting the aspirations of numerous young individuals.
