Punjab Kings have revealed their match jersey for the upcoming 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, showcasing a refreshed design that prominently features their signature red and blue colors. Led by India’s ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer and coached by the renowned Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting, Punjab Kings finished as runners-up in the IPL 2025, losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final at the Narendra Mod Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The new jersey incorporates a lion motif at the center, transitioning into diamond-shaped elements across the fabric. The franchise explained that the lion symbolizes instinct, aggression, and raw talent, while the diamonds represent the transformation of talent through preparation, high-performance systems, and the challenges of top-level competition.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 season, Punjab Kings join other teams like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Lucknow Super Giants in unveiling their jerseys. Punjab Kings will debut their new jersey in their first match against Gujarat Giants on March 31 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
The team’s schedule includes matches against various opponents, starting with a game against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 3, followed by a match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on April 6. Punjab Kings will then play against Sunrisers Hyderabad before the IPL 2026 season commences.
In preparation for the upcoming season, Punjab Kings conducted a pre-season camp in Udaipur from January 16-20, followed by a training camp at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from February 8-14. Currently, the team is undergoing another pre-season camp in Dharamsala, one of their home venues for IPL 2026.
