Punjab Minister Aman Arora criticized the Central government for the continuous increase in fuel prices and inflation, accusing the BJP-led government of causing financial distress to the common man, farmers, and small businesses while benefiting corporate houses. Arora highlighted the impact of rising inflation despite Prime Minister Modi’s promises made 12 years ago.
Arora expressed concern over the recent hike in fuel and LPG prices, emphasizing the burden it places on small businesses and traders. He condemned the government’s decision to raise petrol, diesel, and CNG prices, labeling it as detrimental to the people of the country. Arora accused the BJP of neglecting public welfare post-elections and burdening citizens economically.
The minister criticized the BJP for failing to fulfill its promises of depositing money in citizens’ bank accounts, creating jobs, and increasing farmers’ income. He pointed out that instead of supporting farmers, the government has exacerbated their financial strain through inflation and fuel price hikes. Arora warned of the adverse effects on the farming sector due to the increased diesel prices during the crucial paddy sowing season.
