Punjab shooters excelled in the Junior Men’s Skeet T2 finals, securing a clean sweep of the podium at the Shotgun National Selection Trials 1&2. Harviraj Singh, Harazeez Singh Atwal, and Gurfateh Singh Sandhu claimed the top three spots in the competition held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges in the National Capital Region.
Anantjeet Singh Naruka clinched victory in the Trials 2 final with a perfect score of 36, narrowly surpassing Jyotiraditya Singh Sisodiya. Meanwhile, Yashasvi Rathore emerged victorious in the women’s Trials 2 by missing just one shot to secure the top position.
In a tightly contested final, Anantjeet maintained a flawless performance, hitting all 36 shots perfectly. Jyotiraditya matched this until the 34th target but missed his penultimate shot, finishing with 35 hits out of 36. Abhay Singh Sekhon secured the third spot with a score of 30 hits.
Bhavtegh Singh Gill secured the second position in the qualification rounds, following Anantjeet’s top spot. Jyotiraditya qualified in third place, while Man Singh and Gurjoat Singh qualified in fourth and fifth positions, respectively. The competition saw Munek Battula and Abhay Singh taking the next two spots with scores of 118 and Fatehbir Singh Shergill securing the final spot with 117 hits.
