Purvanchal Panthers secured a narrow 38–37 win over Aligarh Tigers in a closely-fought match during Day 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2 at Noida Stadium. Initially, Aligarh Tigers took the lead with a strong defensive strategy, but Purvanchal Panthers fought back, led by young raider Himesh Tewatiya, briefly taking the lead.

Despite Aligarh Tigers holding a two-point advantage at halftime, the second half remained tense with both teams exchanging points. The momentum shifted multiple times, with Aligarh Tigers forcing an all-out, countered by Purvanchal Panthers with a resilient defense and a crucial all-out of their own. In the end, Purvanchal Panthers clinched a dramatic one-point victory in a fiercely competitive and unpredictable match.

Himesh Tewatiya’s standout performance showcased the platform for emerging talent provided by the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League, emphasizing the competitive nature of the league.

Earlier in the tournament, Gazab Ghaziabad dominated Yamuna Yoddhas with a comprehensive 56–28 victory, displaying a strong all-round performance in the ongoing Season 2 of UPKL at Noida Indoor Stadium.
