Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, labeling them as two sides of the same coin for neglecting the common people’s aspirations. Gandhi, speaking at a campaign rally in West Bengal, accused Modi of favoring millionaires over the poor and highlighted the lack of job creation efforts for the youth by both Modi and Banerjee.
Gandhi also pointed out the prevalence of corruption in both national and state politics, citing instances of chit fund scams and violence perpetuated by the BJP and Trinamool Congress. He questioned Banerjee’s unfulfilled promise of creating five lakh jobs in West Bengal and criticized her for not delivering on her commitments during her 15-year tenure.
Furthermore, Gandhi alleged a covert understanding between Modi and Banerjee, suggesting that the lack of legal action against Banerjee indicated a hidden alliance. Drawing a contrast, he highlighted the legal challenges he faces compared to the apparent leniency towards Banerjee, insinuating a biased treatment by authorities.
