The Union Ministry of Railways has given the green light for the introduction of two new train services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Charlapalli-Narasapur-Charlapalli Weekly Express and Narsapur-Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express have been approved. Train No. 17061 Charlapalli-Narsapur Express will operate on Saturdays, while Train No. 17062 Narsapur-Charlapalli Express will run on Sundays.
The Charlapalli-Narsapur Express will depart from Charlapalli at 7.50 p.m. and arrive at Narsapur at 7 a.m. the following day. The train will make stops at various stations including Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, and Palakollu. In the return journey, the train will leave Narsapur at 8 p.m. and reach Charlapalli at 7.50 a.m. the next day. These trains will offer various classes of coaches including 2A, 3A, Sleeper, and General Second Class.
Additionally, the Ministry of Railways has sanctioned the Narsapur-Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express. Train No. 17428 Narsapur-Tirupati will operate on Mondays, while Train No. 17427 Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express will run on Sundays. The Narsapur-Tirupati service will commence on April 27, departing from Narsapur at 3.50 p.m. and reaching Tirupati at 3.40 a.m. the next day. The train will have stops at various stations including Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, and Nellore.
Furthermore, the Railway Board has approved the extension of the Indore-Lingampalli-Indore Humsafar Express to Charlapalli, effective from April 25. The Indore-Charlapalli service will depart from Indore on Saturdays and reach Charlapalli the following day. The Charlapalli-Indore service will depart on Sundays and reach Indore on Tuesday. The frequency of the Kakinada Town – Lingampalli – Kakinada Town Express will also be increased to daily service from April 21, with an additional stoppage at Samalkot Railway Station.
