Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore responded strongly to opposition allegations regarding the West Bengal Assembly elections and the Election Commission of India’s impartiality. Rathore emphasized India’s democratic transparency and fairness, condemning doubts that undermine democratic values. He highlighted the BJP’s respect for public mandate and criticized opposition parties for questioning election integrity instead of accepting defeat.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for focusing on development over vendetta politics, Rathore raised concerns about political violence and attacks on BJP workers during Mamata Banerjee’s tenure in West Bengal. He urged political parties to prioritize development and avoid retaliatory politics, emphasizing the importance of respecting democratic institutions.
Accusing the opposition of selective trust in democratic institutions based on electoral outcomes, Rathore defended the Election Commission of India’s independence and integrity. He called for all parties to uphold democratic traditions, accept public mandates, and engage in constructive politics. Responding to allegations by the State Congress President regarding the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme, Rathore clarified the government’s commitment to healthcare, water, and electricity responsibilities.
Stressing that the Rajasthan government has no plans to discontinue the RGHS scheme, Rathore highlighted efforts to enhance its transparency and efficiency. He addressed complaints of misuse, particularly inflated bills for outpatient services, stating that services were temporarily suspended in cases of irregularities pending investigation. Rathore assured that genuine corruption cases would face strict action without compromising public services.
