The Rajasthan Cabinet has given the green light to the Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML) Policy-2026, aiming to position the state as a technology-driven investment and innovation hub. Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa highlighted the policy’s focus on enhancing e-governance and public service delivery through AI and ML technologies. The policy aims to ensure faster, transparent, and citizen-centric services while emphasizing ethical and secure AI and ML usage.
Key aspects of the policy include the reduction of bias in AI decision-making, safeguarding data security and personal information, and establishing mechanisms for addressing AI-related cybercrimes. It also outlines the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Rajasthan to support research and innovation. Each government department will identify AI use cases and appoint an AI Nodal Officer for implementation under this policy.
Moreover, the policy promotes the development of advanced digital infrastructure, AI education across educational institutions, and dedicated training programs for youth, teachers, and government employees. Industries, MSMEs, startups, and research institutions involved in AI initiatives will be eligible for incentives aligned with existing policies. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the Green Credit Voucher Initiative-2025 to encourage green and circular economy projects, linking environmental performance with economic benefits.
