Marking the 135th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma revealed plans to establish 200 Ambedkar E-Libraries in urban areas across the state. This initiative aims to enhance access to digital resources, especially for marginalized communities, aligning with Ambedkar’s vision of social justice and equality. Additionally, an Ambedkar Residential Coaching Centre will be set up in Mundla (Jaipur) to assist students preparing for competitive exams.
Sharma emphasized the government’s dedication to providing equal educational opportunities for all individuals. He highlighted the state’s commitment to inclusive growth and empowerment, inspired by Ambedkar’s principles. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, welfare schemes are effectively reaching marginalized groups, contributing to their socio-economic progress.
The Ambedkar E-Libraries are envisioned as modern knowledge centers, offering digital learning tools, online study materials, and career resources to students and youth. Furthermore, the residential coaching center in Mundla will provide additional academic support to students from underprivileged backgrounds. During a program, the Chief Minister transferred Rs 1,363 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer to pension scheme beneficiaries and the Palanhar Yojana recipients.
In a series of initiatives, hostel buildings were inaugurated, foundation stones laid for others, and a library at the ‘Swayamsiddha’ complex in Jamdoli was virtually opened. An AI-based initiative called ‘Help Desk Samadhan Saathi’ was launched, and assistive devices were distributed to Divyangjan. Financial aid was provided under the Kanyadan Yojana, and meritorious students under the Chief Minister Anupreti Coaching Scheme were honored. Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Avinash Gehlot reiterated the government’s commitment to realizing Ambedkar’s vision through impactful social security and welfare schemes. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, along with several ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior officials.
