Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma recently launched and initiated various development projects valued at around Rs 880 crore in Kekri, Ajmer district. He emphasized the state’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure growth and enhancing public services. Sharma highlighted the government’s focus on key sectors like water, electricity, roads, education, healthcare, and employment, noting visible progress on the ground.
The Chief Minister underscored the state’s alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision of developing top-notch infrastructure and enhancing citizens’ lives. He outlined substantial investments in roads, railways, airports, water projects, and social welfare, with a significant focus on road development. Sharma mentioned the completion of nearly 49,000 kilometers of road projects in the last two-and-a-half years, including the construction of 18,000 kilometers of new roads.
Sharma laid the foundation stone for the Nasirabad-Sarwar-Kekri-Deoli (Phase-I) four-lane highway and various road-strengthening projects in the region. He emphasized water as a top priority, detailing initiatives to ensure access to drinking water for every household. Additionally, he highlighted support measures for farmers, such as increased annual assistance under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and various agricultural welfare programs.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari praised the state’s development under the “double-engine government” model, citing projects like the Rajasthan Refinery as indicators of industrial progress. Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore commended the government’s efforts, particularly the Yamuna water project, which is expected to benefit the Shekhawati region. The Chief Minister’s visit also included the inauguration of educational and road infrastructure projects across the Kekri area.
