Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma recently launched the state’s inaugural semiconductor cluster in Bhiwadi. He highlighted the progress of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) linking Rajasthan to Delhi via Haryana and the Yamuna Water Agreement implementation. Sharma emphasized the state government’s efforts in promoting industrial growth through policy reforms and infrastructure expansion.
The Chief Minister, speaking at a virtual event for various development projects in Bhiwadi and Khairthal-Tijara, mentioned the government’s focus on creating a conducive industrial environment. By implementing 35 policies in the last two years, the state aims to support industrial growth and achieve the vision of ‘Developed India, Developed Rajasthan by 2047’. Sharma also laid foundation stones for projects like the Alcina Electronics Complex and a Sewage Treatment Plant in Bhiwadi.
In addition to the semiconductor cluster in Bhiwadi, the government is planning a major industrial zone in Bandikui near Alwar. The state is working on a rural development blueprint that integrates cultural heritage and environmental considerations. The Chief Minister highlighted initiatives like ‘Atal Gyan Kendras’ to empower rural youth and emphasized meeting electricity and water needs as top priorities.
Union Minister for Railways and Electronics, Ashwini Vaishnaw, emphasized the importance of the semiconductor industry, noting Rajasthan’s entry into this sector. Vaishnaw highlighted the growth of electronics manufacturing in India, with mobile phones becoming a leading export commodity. He mentioned the investment and job creation expected from the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Bhiwadi and the progress under the AMRUT scheme for railway station development.
Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, announced the inauguration of a Sewage Treatment Plant in Bhiwadi and emphasized establishing Bhiwadi as a key manufacturing hub. He mentioned the focus on semiconductor and electronics manufacturing in Bhiwadi, complementing its existing strength in the automobile industry.
