Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma received a warm reception in Jaipur from BJP workers and the public following the signing of the Yamuna Water Project agreement. Crowds lined the route from the airport to his residence, showering him with flowers and traditional honors.
Expressing gratitude, BJP workers from the Shekhawati region likened Chief Minister Sharma to Bhagirath for bringing Yamuna waters to Rajasthan. The Chief Minister, in turn, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic agreement, emphasizing the project’s significance for Rajasthan’s development.
Acknowledging the support of various leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister Sharma highlighted the project’s potential to transform the Shekhawati region. He criticized the Congress for its past unfulfilled promises regarding Yamuna water and emphasized the current government’s commitment to delivering on its pledges.
The Chief Minister outlined the project’s progress, mentioning the formation of a task force and the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR). With an estimated cost exceeding Rs 34,000 crore, the project aims to enhance agriculture, tourism, industry, and employment opportunities in the region. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Rajasthan is advancing development initiatives while fulfilling promises to its citizens.
