Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas led a high-level meeting to evaluate the recent tragic incident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district. He emphasized the importance of taking comprehensive steps to prevent similar accidents and reduce road fatalities.

Srinivas instructed officials to conduct a thorough investigation into all aspects of the accident, including vehicle conditions, registrations, and driver backgrounds. He also reviewed CCTV footage from the site, focusing on road safety standards compliance and directed improvements in signage and lighting on highways.

The Chief Secretary assessed post-accident rescue operations and urged the enhancement of emergency medical care facilities along national highways. He called for upgrading Basic Life Support ambulances to Advanced Life Support units and emphasized the need for a strategic plan to ensure quick emergency responses.

District Collectors were tasked with monitoring highways for encroachments and illegal parking, while the Transport Department was instructed to enforce safety regulations strictly on heavy vehicles. Srinivas also ordered regular meetings with transport unions to ensure adherence to road safety rules and removal of encroachments along highways.
