Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma criticized the West Bengal government, alleging a lack of development due to appeasement politics and corruption under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. Speaking at a Marwari community event in Siliguri, he highlighted the BJP’s focus on clean governance and rapid progress, contrasting it with the current situation in West Bengal. Sharma expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects in West Bengal, predicting a significant victory in the upcoming elections.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage, Chief Minister Sharma praised the state as a land of strength and devotion, citing historical figures like Meerabai, Maharana Pratap, and Surajmal. He also commended the Marwari community for their global charitable endeavors, recognizing their contributions to various social causes such as healthcare and education. Additionally, Sharma lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, attributing India’s enhanced global reputation and developmental strides to his governance.
Discussing government initiatives, Chief Minister Sharma underscored the success of programs like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, Ujjwala Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana in empowering women and supporting farmers and the marginalized. He emphasized the importance of women’s participation in nation-building through initiatives like Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. Sharma also outlined infrastructure projects in Rajasthan and West Bengal, including roadways and airport modernization, aimed at boosting trade and tourism in the region.
During a roadshow supporting a BJP candidate in Siliguri, Chief Minister Sharma rallied voters to secure a resounding victory for the party. The event witnessed a strong turnout and enthusiastic support from locals and expatriate Rajasthanis, reflecting the growing momentum ahead of the elections.
