Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted the importance of good governance in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.” He urged stakeholders to work with dedication and commitment, emphasizing a culture of public service, innovation, and accountability to make Rajasthan a model of good governance.
During a state-level ceremony on Good Governance Day, the Chief Minister paid tribute to late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, praising his efforts in transforming governance and administration. Vajpayee’s initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the Golden Quadrilateral project significantly contributed to rural development and national economic growth.
CM Sharma also lauded Vajpayee’s leadership qualities, citing examples from Operation Vijay to promoting science for national development. He noted that PM Modi has continued Vajpayee’s legacy, focusing on citizen-centric governance and leveraging technology to empower people as active participants in governance.
Under Mission Karmayogi, Rajasthan aims for a dynamic and inclusive economy, targeting to become the seventh-largest economy in the country and reaching $4.3 trillion by 2047. The state has actively participated in various initiatives to enhance public service and simplify citizens’ lives.
