Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing women empowerment, farmer welfare, youth employment, and rural development in governance. Speaking at a village event in Bagru, Sharma highlighted the positive impact of PM Modi’s schemes on women’s economic and social well-being nationwide. Initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and various welfare programs have significantly contributed to gender equality and social progress.
Sharma underscored the importance of fuel conservation by traveling in an electric bus to promote green mobility and energy efficiency. He emphasized the need for shared and public transportation to save fuel costs and reduce environmental impact. The Chief Minister also announced the postponement of the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM-2026) to support the call for fuel conservation amid global circumstances.
Addressing agricultural issues, Sharma mentioned the financial support provided to farmers through schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. He highlighted efforts to enhance farmers’ income by strengthening market infrastructure and promoting modern farming practices. Additionally, water infrastructure projects and initiatives to address water scarcity across Rajasthan are being accelerated to benefit farmers and communities.
Sharma outlined the government’s focus on animal husbandry through schemes like the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, offering interest-free loans to livestock rearers. He emphasized the expansion of dairy and cooperative sectors to support livelihoods and increase cooperative memberships. The Chief Minister also discussed employment generation initiatives, including investment projects creating opportunities for youth and ongoing recruitment drives for government jobs.
In a bid to empower women, Sharma highlighted legislative measures such as the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam and welfare programs like the Ma Voucher Scheme. He mentioned the success of initiatives like Rajivika in training and financially empowering women across the state. The Chief Minister shared success stories of women beneficiaries, emphasizing the positive impact of these initiatives on their economic independence and empowerment.
