Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President, Govind Singh Dotasra, has called for a comprehensive survey of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community by the state government to ensure accurate reservation data. Dotasra emphasized the need for immediate elections to Panchayati Raj institutions and Urban Local Bodies, warning against any compromise on OBC interests.
Dotasra criticized the delay in the OBC reservation process by the BJP-led Rajasthan government, urging the completion of the survey promptly. He highlighted the prolonged duration taken by the OBC Commission to submit its report, causing further delays in the electoral procedures.
Referring to constitutional amendments, Dotasra stressed the necessity of conducting elections to local bodies after the completion of their five-year term. He also raised concerns about the lack of infrastructure provided to the OBC Commission, affecting its efficiency in carrying out its duties.
The Congress leader questioned the transparency of the Rajdhara application for the OBC survey, pointing out issues with the government login option. Dotasra emphasized the importance of a transparent and accountable survey process to finalize reservation based on verified data and expedite the election process without additional delays.
