The Rajasthan School Education Department has instructed officials to address unsafe school infrastructure promptly, emphasizing the importance of student safety. Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Yadav directed District Education Officers to prioritize demolishing dilapidated school buildings and to prohibit classes from being held in such structures. He highlighted the necessity of providing students with a secure learning environment, urging officials to make immediate alternative arrangements for education in unsafe buildings.

Yadav mentioned that a statewide survey of unsafe school buildings is underway as per court orders, with plans to take necessary action based on the findings. At a recent review meeting, officials discussed the progress of various educational institutions and infrastructure projects, emphasizing the timely completion of pending works. The meeting also focused on establishing the State School Standards Authority (SSSA) under the National Education Policy 2020 to ensure quality education standards.

State Project Director Rashmi Sharma advised studying models from other states to enhance Rajasthan’s educational framework. She stressed the importance of a transparent and quality-driven school standards system applicable to both government and private schools. The meeting, attended by senior officials, aimed to improve education infrastructure and standards across the state.
