In a move against corruption, the Rajasthan government ousted Jugal Kishore, a non-official director of the Rajasthan State Seed Corporation, from the Board of Directors immediately after his arrest in a Rs 2.43 crore bribery case by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. This decision, made under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s direction, is considered a strong stance by the state government against corruption.
Kishore, appointed during the 47th Annual General Meeting in February 2026, faced allegations in a multi-crore bribery scandal involving the Agriculture Department and the Seed Corporation shortly after his appointment. The Anti-Corruption Bureau’s arrest of Kishore and subsequent judicial custody sparked a significant political and administrative debate due to the corporation’s pivotal role in seed distribution and farmer welfare schemes.
The Rajasthan State Seed Corporation emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior in its operations. Stressing the need for integrity among senior officials to maintain trust, the corporation assured farmers of ongoing corrective actions to protect public interest and uphold institutional credibility. Authorities are now scrutinizing pending files, contracts, and tender-related decisions within the corporation and other agriculture-linked entities following the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s actions.
