Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde highlighted the importance of drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s life and embracing the values he advocated. He stressed that serving the underprivileged and vulnerable is a noble form of service to God. Bagde noted that Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, which encourage determination and fearlessness, remain pertinent today, emphasizing that success is assured when pursued with courage and dedication.
Addressing the Seva Sangam program organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kota Mahanagar, on Swami Vivekananda’s 163rd birth anniversary, the Governor underlined Vivekananda’s message to the youth about achieving life goals through self-confidence. He also highlighted that education’s true essence lies in character development, alongside qualities like courage, compassion, and concentration. Bagde emphasized the significance of positive thinking in shaping one’s future, echoing Vivekananda’s teachings.
Furthermore, the Governor reiterated Swami Vivekananda’s emphasis on using words that are positive and non-offensive, promoting the idea of universal brotherhood. Reflecting on Vivekananda’s historic speech at the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago in 1893, Bagde praised how Vivekananda showcased India’s culture and spirituality to the world, advocating for universal tolerance and harmony. He envisioned India’s rise as a global leader based on its people’s intellectual and physical capabilities.
Bagde called upon all individuals to unite in elevating India’s reputation on the world stage, urging continuous efforts until the shared goal is accomplished. As part of the event, the Governor recognized 31 organizations from Kota for their exceptional contributions to social service.
