Rajasthan Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore conducted a detailed review meeting with officials from the Municipal Corporation, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to evaluate the progress of ongoing development projects in the Jhotwara Assembly constituency before the monsoon season.
During the meeting, Rathore emphasized the need for all projects to advance in a coordinated manner and adhere strictly to established priorities, with a focus on providing lasting solutions to persistent civic issues in the area.
The Minister instructed officials to prioritize road construction and repair activities in preparation for the upcoming monsoon, with a particular emphasis on expediting underpass projects, alleviating traffic congestion on sector roads, and implementing measures to address the increasing vehicular traffic.
Rathore highlighted the importance of reinforcing drainage and sewerage systems to tackle recurring waterlogging and road damage issues before commencing new road construction in affected zones. He emphasized that roads damaged due to inadequate drainage should only undergo reconstruction after ensuring the installation of a permanent drainage system.
Emphasizing the necessity for enhanced inter-departmental coordination, the Minister urged officials to achieve tangible, on-ground outcomes within specified timelines. Rathore reiterated his dedication to the development of Jhotwara, stressing the timely and efficient completion of priority projects to provide enduring relief to local residents.
The Minister’s initiative comes in response to challenges faced by commuters during heavy rains in the region, leading to traffic disruptions and safety concerns due to potholed roads. The review meeting aimed to ensure that all development works in the area are in optimal condition before the onset of the rainy season.
