With the start of the New Year, the Rajasthan Personnel Department has issued orders for significant promotions in the state’s bureaucracy. A total of 61 Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 40 Indian Police Service (IPS), and 23 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers have been promoted, effective from January 1, 2026. Among the promotions, four senior IAS officers have been elevated to the position of Additional Chief Secretary, transitioning to the Chief Secretary’s pay scale.
Two IAS officers, Naveen Jain and K.K. Pathak, have been promoted from Secretary to Principal Secretary. Additionally, eleven IAS officers, including Jaipur Collector Jitendra Kumar Soni, have been promoted from Selection Scale to Super Time Scale. The list of promoted officers also includes names like Prakash Rajpurohit, Indrajit Singh, Neha Giri, Vishwa Mohan Sharma, and others who have moved up the ranks in the bureaucracy.
In this round of promotions, twenty-two IAS officers have been elevated from Junior Scale to Selection Scale. Furthermore, two IPS officers, Prafull Kumar and Raghavendra Suhasa, have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General. Nine IPS officers have moved up from Director Inspector General (DIG) to Inspector General rank, with an additional eleven IPS officers set to become DIGs, including names like Rashi Dogra Doodi, Mamta Gupta, and others.
In the latest promotions, 23 IFS officers have also been elevated, with 11 officers reaching the position of Forest Conservator. Moreover, 44 Rajasthan Police Inspectors have been promoted to the Rajasthan Police Service cadre. The promotion orders were issued by Anandi Lal Vaishnav, the Joint Secretary of the Rajasthan Home Department. Notably, among the promoted individuals is Pradeep Sharma, the Station House Officer of Chaumun Police Station (Jaipur Rural), who has now assumed a deputy-rank officer position.
