Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) has set a new milestone with its highest-ever power generation of 7,171 MW from 23 coal-based units, surpassing its previous record. This achievement was reached on June 2, 2026, marking a significant advancement for the corporation.

The state government’s focus on enhancing the energy sector has led RVUNL to address technical issues in its generating units and conduct systematic maintenance, resulting in this record-breaking output. The corporation’s dedication to improving efficiency has paid off with this remarkable feat.

Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar commended the efforts of the Chairman, Managing Director, engineers, and employees of RVUNL for their exceptional performance. The Minister highlighted that the corporation’s thermal power stations achieved a peak output of 7,171 MW, surpassing the previous record set in January 2025.

Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, Energy Secretary Aarti Dogra emphasized the state’s progress towards energy self-sufficiency. She praised the Suratgarh Thermal Power Station for its record generation of 2,790 MW on June 2, 2026, attributing this success to effective maintenance practices and operational management.

Chairman and Managing Director of RVUNL, Devendra Shringi, lauded the collective efforts of the corporation’s staff for this outstanding performance. He encouraged continued teamwork and dedication to ensure further accomplishments in the future.
