A strong Western Disturbance is expected to impact parts of Rajasthan between January 22 and 24, followed by another disturbance from January 26 to 28, potentially bringing weather changes. Meteorological officials anticipate light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in isolated areas of Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Shekhawati regions.
There is a forecast for thunderstorms, hailstorms, and rainfall in Bikaner, Shekhawati, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur on Friday. Dense fog is predicted in isolated northern locations of the state on January 24–25, affecting visibility. Subsequently, on January 26–27, light to moderate rainfall is expected in Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner regions. Residents are urged to stay vigilant, especially in fog, thunderstorm, and hailstorm-prone areas.
The Meteorological Department issued a fog advisory due to its potential risks. Fog can reduce visibility, leading to road accidents, and may exacerbate health issues like asthma and breathing difficulties. Prolonged fog can impact plant photosynthesis and crop health by reducing sunlight exposure. Officials caution that poor visibility raises the risk of unnoticed obstacles on roads.
