Rajasthan’s mining and petroleum sectors are experiencing a surge in investments, with projects totaling Rs 33,000 crore currently in progress. Aparna Arora, the State Additional Chief Secretary for Mines and Petroleum, revealed that Rs 15,000 crore has already been invested on the ground. Key projects by UltraTech Cement, Hindustan Copper Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation are leading this investment trend.

UltraTech Cement’s Rs 2,230-crore plant is operational, Hindustan Copper’s Rs 1,000-crore expansion project in Khetri is nearing completion, and Indian Oil’s Rs 3,600-crore Mundra crude oil pipeline is in its final stages. Rajasthan is increasingly becoming an attractive hub for industrial and infrastructure investments, with several mining projects valued at over Rs 100 crore either operational or making swift progress.

Aparna Arora, while reviewing the progress of investment proposals at the Secretariat, mentioned that projects worth nearly Rs 6,500 crore are close to completion. The state’s focused efforts to draw industrial investments in mining and petroleum have resulted in significant growth across various sectors. Memorandums of Understanding signed during Rising Rajasthan encompass projects like crude oil and natural gas exploration, DPNG-CNG infrastructure development, cement manufacturing, copper production, and mining of major and minor minerals.
