Actor Rajkummar Rao is known for delving deep into the characters he portrays, and his upcoming biopic on renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam is no exception. In a recent Instagram post, Rajkummar shared the physical challenges he faced for this role, including gaining weight and altering his appearance to match the character accurately.
This is not the first time Rajkummar has undergone significant physical changes for a role. Previously, he went half bald for “Bose” and lost a substantial amount of weight for “Trapped.” Rajkummar expressed his dedication to his craft, emphasizing his preference for achieving looks through hard work rather than prosthetics.
For the role of Nikam, Rajkummar had to gain around 9-10 kgs by indulging in pizzas, sweets, Aloo Parathas, and Biryani, without relying on glamour. He expressed his hope that the audience would appreciate his efforts when they see the film, which is set to release soon.
Currently, Rajkummar is focused on shedding the extra weight to prepare for his next biopic, where he will portray the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly. He affirmed his commitment to working hard to entertain the audience through his performances.
