Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commended the achievements of the BJP government in Uttarakhand, highlighting progress in tourism, infrastructure, employment, women empowerment, and ex-servicemen’s welfare. Speaking at an event in Haldwani marking four years of the state government, Singh lauded Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for his leadership qualities and dedication to development. He emphasized the spiritual significance of Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi, and praised the state’s gentle yet resilient people.
Singh acknowledged Uttarakhand’s historical role as a land of seers and austerities, emphasizing its contribution to India’s spiritual heritage. He credited Chief Minister Dhami for the state’s developmental strides, noting significant advancements in various sectors under his leadership. The Defence Minister also recognized Uttarakhand as a land of brave individuals, highlighting the sacrifices made by its residents in safeguarding the nation’s borders.
Reflecting on the BJP government’s governance, Singh praised the administration’s efforts in enhancing infrastructure, promoting tourism, empowering women, and supporting ex-servicemen. He expressed gratitude for the fulfillment of the One Rank, One Pension demand and the welfare measures for ex-servicemen. Singh underscored the importance of preserving Uttarakhand’s sanctity and urged citizens to protect the state’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
Addressing the issue of illegal immigration, Singh reiterated the government’s firm stance against such activities, emphasizing the removal of encroachments under Chief Minister Dhami’s leadership. He highlighted the ongoing West Asia conflict and India’s diplomatic approach under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Singh praised PM Modi’s global stature and emphasized India’s enhanced credibility on international platforms, urging support for India’s stance during challenging times.
