He revealed that Gautami, unhappy in her first marriage, lacked family backing when she decided to end it. Ram expressed admiration for their strong bond as a couple, emphasizing his support for Gautami during her divorce from her first husband.
Ram recounted how their friendship blossomed after meeting on the set of “Ghar Ek Mandir” in 2000. He learned about Gautami’s unhappiness in her previous marriage, where they lived separately for two and a half years. Despite family opposition, Ram stood by Gautami as she made the courageous decision to divorce her first husband, Madhur Shroff.
During the shoot of “Monsoon Wedding,” Ram realized his deepening feelings for Gautami, leading to their eventual marriage in 2003 after two years of dating. Both Ram and Gautami acknowledged their mutual affection, with Gautami harboring no regrets about her past. They now share a life together with two children.
