Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra commended the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for promptly setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into alleged irregularities in monetary offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had requested this thorough investigation by an SIT.
Misra highlighted the quick response of the state government, noting that the SIT, comprising senior officials including a Divisional Commissioner, experienced police officers, and a special secretary from the Department of Finance, was formed in less than 24 hours. He emphasized the efficiency of the government’s decisions, mentioning a preliminary report within seven days and a final report within 15 days.
The Committee Chairman stressed the importance of awaiting the investigation findings to address any identified shortcomings. He mentioned that the Ram Temple trust will deliberate on the committee’s conclusions and take necessary steps accordingly. Misra also provided updates on the construction progress of the Ram Temple’s boundary wall and ‘Ram Katha Sangrahalay’.
He mentioned that the construction of the 4 km-long boundary wall is targeted for completion by August 2026. To expedite the work, simultaneous construction at six different locations will be initiated. Additionally, a separate agency will handle the construction of 25 watchtowers. A meeting regarding the Ram Katha Sangrahalay is scheduled for today to discuss the script and video content.
