Released in 2016, the film portrayed Sarabjit’s struggles in captivity and Dalbir Kaur’s relentless efforts to secure his release. ‘Sarbjit’ also featured Richa Chadha, Darshan Kumaar, and Shiwani Saini in significant roles, produced under various banners including T-Series and Legend Studios.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s role in ‘Sarbjit’ marked her second film post her return to cinema after motherhood, following her appearance in ‘Jazbaa.’ The film garnered attention for Randeep Hooda’s drastic physical transformation to portray the character authentically, shedding a considerable amount of weight in a short period.
