The first installment of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ series is gearing up for a re-release in theaters, coming a week before the launch of the second part. This blockbuster is set for a unique international re-release, hitting around 500 screens globally. The re-release will kick off with 250 screens in India on March 12, followed by another 250 screens overseas on March 13.
Re-releases of major films are not uncommon in India, but international re-releases of Hindi movies are quite rare. This move marks a significant moment for the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, showcasing the strong global demand for the film. In North America, the movie will be back in nearly 185 theaters, indicating the high anticipation for the upcoming sequel.
Excitement mounts as ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ plans special premiere shows in the USA and Canada on March 18, a day before its global release. These premieres will mainly be on Premium Large Format (PLF) screens, known for their immersive experience with advanced sound systems like Dolby Atmos and luxury seating. The mid-week premieres are already selling out, highlighting the massive interest in the sequel’s release.
Presented by Jio Studios, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is a production of B62 Studios, directed by Aditya Dhar. The movie, a high-energy spy-action thriller, will hit theaters worldwide on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and ahead of Eid. It is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with production by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
