Rasikh Salam Dar’s impressive four-wicket haul limited Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to 146 runs in their 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. LSG struggled initially as openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram faced a disciplined bowling attack from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, managing only 14/0 after two overs.
Mitchell Marsh broke the deadlock with a massive six in the third over, but Aiden Markram fell for 12 off Rasikh Salam Dar’s delivery. LSG faced a setback when captain Rishabh Pant got injured early, and Nicholas Pooran’s dismissal added to their woes in the seventh over.
Despite the challenges, Marsh and Ayush Badoni steadied the innings with a 36-run partnership. Krunal Pandya’s double blow, dismissing Marsh and Abdul Samad, further dented LSG’s progress. Badoni’s departure in the 16th over and Pant’s struggle led to a collapse, with Mukul Choudhary fighting a lone battle with 39 runs off 28 balls before LSG were all out for 146.
Rasikh Dar’s four-wicket haul and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s three wickets were instrumental in RCB’s strong bowling performance, with Josh Hazlewood’s economical spell playing a crucial role in restricting LSG.
