The Chief Minister highlighted the excellent facilities at the cricket stadium in Chhattisgarh, with endorsements from top players like Sachin Tendulkar. He mentioned that after discussions with RCB officials, it was agreed that two IPL matches would be held in Chhattisgarh.
In a meeting with BCCI officials and RCB representatives, the focus was on the suitability of New Raipur’s stadium for hosting IPL matches. The RCB officials also presented a team jersey to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during the discussions.
The IPL Governing Council is expected to release the full match schedule for IPL 2026 soon. Apart from RCB, the Rajasthan Royals are also considering hosting their matches at alternative venues instead of their home ground in Jaipur.
