Royal Challengers Bengaluru head coach Malolan Rangarajan disclosed that captain Smriti Mandhana battled a 103-degree fever before the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 Final against Delhi Capitals. Mandhana’s remarkable 87 off 41 balls in the final led RCB to a historic victory, supported by a crucial 165-run partnership.

Mandhana’s dedication and leadership were lauded by Rangarajan, emphasizing her commitment to the team despite her illness. The coach praised the team’s collective effort throughout the season, highlighting the emergence of various match-winners at crucial junctures.

Georgia Voll’s impressive performance in the final was commended by Rangarajan, recognizing her hard work and composed innings of 79 runs off 54 balls.
