The upcoming Republic Day Parade, following Operation Sindoor, will feature a grand display of military prowess with advanced defense systems and a flypast of 29 aircraft. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s endorsement of indigenous weapons and drones used in Operation Sindoor will be reflected in the Parade’s military showcase. The event will also commemorate 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ and India’s military strength, including Brahmos and Akash missiles, along with 30 vibrant tableaux showcasing cultural diversity.
The flypast during the Parade will include various aircraft formations like Rafale, Su-30, P8i, C-295, Mig-29, Apache, LCH, ALH, and Mi-17. Additionally, the event will feature cutting-edge defense platforms and a cultural performance by 2,500 artists, emphasizing themes of Vande Mataram and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Indian Army’s participation will include a Mounted Column of 61 Cavalry, Battle Array Formation, and seven marching contingents, showcasing a range of military assets.
The mechanized columns at the Republic Day Parade will highlight key attractions such as HMRV, Dhruv Heptr, T-90, Arjun Main Battle Tank, BMP-II, NAMIS-II Nag Missile System, and various other defense systems. Notable dignitaries attending the event as Chief Guests will be European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Prime Minister Modi’s emphasis on India’s defense capabilities and aspirations to be a leading defense exporter globally will set the tone for the Parade.
