The sale of tickets for the Republic Day parade and Beating Retreat ceremony commenced briskly, with the entire daily quota of 2,225 tickets and 692 tickets, respectively, selling rapidly on the Aamantran website. The tickets for the events on January 26, 28, and 29 were made available for purchase by the Defence Ministry.
Priced at Rs 100 and Rs 20, the Republic Day Parade tickets and Beating Retreat tickets were in high demand, with sales continuing until the daily quotas were exhausted. Additionally, tickets for the Full-Dress Rehearsal of Beating Retreat were priced at Rs 20.
For those unable to secure tickets online, booths at six locations offered tickets upon presentation of Original Photo ID Cards such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, or ID Card issued by the Central/state government. The same ID card would be required for all three events, as per the Ministry’s statement.
Booths at Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Parliament House, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, and Kashmere Gate Metro Station would be open from January 5 to 14, facilitating ticket purchases between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
