Retired judge Giribala Singh, who is the mother-in-law of the deceased Twisha Sharma, expressed concerns about the police investigation into the high-profile death case. She criticized the police for allegedly conducting the probe under pressure and raised issues regarding their methods. Singh claimed that the police had not properly recorded her statement and had instead visited her residence multiple times to gather information informally.
She objected to the police sending her a notice through WhatsApp and accused them of manipulating electronic evidence related to the case. Singh emphasized her desire to understand the events surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death at her house. She also alleged that investigating officials had entered her home without consent and recorded conversations secretly, leading her lawyer to take action against the police’s actions.
Singh questioned the competence of the Madhya Pradesh Police and suggested that they were working under external pressure. She expressed feeling like a stranger in her own city and called for a fair and impartial investigation. These concerns have emerged amidst a growing controversy surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death, prompting calls for an independent inquiry and legal intervention in the High Court. The Madhya Pradesh government has agreed to transfer the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
