A committee formed by the Lok Sabha convened at the Constitution Club of Rajasthan for its second meeting. Speakers from six states are discussing ways to empower legislative committees for better governance and oversight. The committee, led by Narendra Singh Tomar, includes members from various states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

The primary goal of the meeting is to enhance the efficiency of legislative bodies nationwide. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani emphasized the importance of improving the functionality of these committees. Delegates from multiple states, including Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, have gathered in Jaipur for the event.

The committee, comprising prominent figures like Satish Mahana and Surama Padhy, is focused on reviewing and reinforcing the committee system in legislative assemblies. The visiting dignitaries will also enjoy cultural programs and traditional Rajasthani cuisine during their stay. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is expected to attend the banquet following the meeting.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, known for its digital infrastructure and historical exhibits. Each MLA is provided with a tablet for accessing digital proceedings, enhancing efficiency and transparency. The itinerary also includes visits to significant sites like the Assembly Museum and the Khatu Shyam Temple.
