A review meeting chaired by District Collector Sandesh Nayak took place at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jaipur to ensure compliance with directives from the Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission for organizing IPL 2026 matches in the city. The focus was on adhering to all prescribed norms, especially concerning spectator safety and essential public arrangements.
Representatives from Rajasthan Royals, the Rajasthan State Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India were directed by the District Collector to strictly follow the Commission’s guidelines. Comprehensive arrangements for senior citizens, women, minors, and young children were instructed to be made by the concerned departments. Special attention was given to accessibility measures, such as constructing separate ramps for persons with disabilities, providing accessible seating, and dedicated restrooms.
To enhance safety and emergency preparedness, all departments were instructed to work closely together and implement a comprehensive action plan. Ambulances with trained medical teams, medical kiosks at various locations, proper sanitation, and uninterrupted power supply at the stadium were emphasized. Security measures included thorough screening of spectators, availability of fire tenders and firefighting equipment, and deployment of Disaster Quick Response Teams for crowd management and emergency response.
