In a move to enforce discipline, Rewa district Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi conducted a surprise inspection at the district Panchayat office. Upon arrival at 10.05 a.m., he discovered only four employees present, with many others arriving late. Suryavanshi instructed senior officials to document latecomers and take disciplinary action against absentees.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the habitual tardiness, the Collector warned employees about the consequences of repeated violations. While offering a one-time pardon, he emphasized the importance of punctuality in public service. Suryavanshi stressed that further infractions would result in penalties, including salary deductions and disciplinary measures.
The inspection aimed to address concerns over indiscipline and absenteeism affecting governance and welfare scheme implementation. Following a review meeting with absent Project Officers, the Collector directed officials not to leave headquarters without prior approval. Any deviations from this directive would lead to appropriate actions as per regulations, reinforcing a zero-tolerance stance against negligence.
