Actress Rhea Chakraborty is set to make a comeback to acting after a hiatus of 7 years in the upcoming Netflix series “Family Business.” Returning to the set stirred emotions for the ‘Jalebi’ actress, prompting her to reflect on her Bollywood journey that began as a 17-year-old with a dream in Bombay. Rhea expressed her sentiments on Instagram, emphasizing how she remains the same girl who arrived in Mumbai with aspirations of becoming an actor.
Rhea expressed gratitude towards director Hansal Mehta, the production team, and her co-stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma for their roles in her life’s “chapter 2.” She thanked them for being a part of her journey. Her last film release was in 2021 with “Chehre,” starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.
Following the tragic loss of her former partner, Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020, Rhea faced challenging times, including an arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September 2020. In recent years, she has been involved in the reality show “MTV Roadies” as a gang leader and launched her podcast titled “Chapter 2.”
In the teaser of “Family Business,” Anil Kapoor portrays the head of a massive company, with Vijay Varma playing a dedicated employee. The plot thickens when Anil dismisses Vijay, setting off a struggle for power.
