Ridhima Dilawari seized a one-shot lead in the first round of the second leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Kalhaar Blues & Greens in Ahmedabad. Dilawari, who secured the second position in the previous leg, displayed consistency in the final eight holes, finishing at 2 under 70 with a series of birdies and a couple of dropped shots.
Following closely behind, Sneha Singh, aiming for a better performance after a lackluster first leg, carded a 1-under 71 with a bogey-free round and one birdie. Meanwhile, six players, including Vani Kapoor and Jahanvi Bakshi, were tied for fifth place at 1-over 73 each.
Dilawari, focusing on domestic events this year, started with four pars but stumbled with a bogey on the fifth hole. She recovered impressively with birdies on the seventh and eighth, eventually securing the lead with back-to-back gains on the 14th and 15th holes. Singh, a two-time winner in 2025, maintained a steady performance with a solitary birdie on the 16th hole.
Notable performances included Nayanika Sanga’s five birdies but marred by four bogeys and a triple bogey, and Vani Kapoor’s recovery from a rough start with well-timed birdies. Last week’s winner, Jasmine Shekar, faced a challenging start with a 7-over 79, featuring multiple bogeys and doubles alongside a single birdie.
