Actor Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as a surprise winner in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, marking its debut with a significant impact. Leading in 108 constituencies out of 234, TVK falls short of a clear majority by 10 seats, necessitating additional support to secure a majority in the Assembly. Vijay’s dual victories in Perambur and Tiruchy East constituencies pose a need for seat adjustments, further highlighting the party’s path to establishing a strong political presence in the state.
