As people nationwide ushered in the New Year, it also marked the birthday of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. On this special day, Rabri Devi’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, took to social media to convey heartfelt birthday wishes to his mother. Tej Pratap expressed admiration for his mother’s strength, sacrifices, and unconditional love, calling her his greatest inspiration.
In a touching message, Tej Pratap wrote, “Happy Birthday, Mom. You are the soul of our family. Every smile, every prayer, every moment that feels like home is because of you. You held things together even when we didn’t know what it meant to hold things together.” He further added, “You are my greatest inspiration. You gave without counting, loved unconditionally, and stood strong even when no one saw how heavy the burden was.”
This year, a noticeable quietness enveloped Rabri Devi’s official residence at 10 Circular Road, Patna, in contrast to the usual hustle and bustle during festivities and family gatherings. While well-wishers and RJD leaders visited Rabri Devi with bouquets to convey birthday wishes, the celebrations were subdued compared to previous years.
Rabri Devi currently resides alone in Patna, as her husband, Lalu Prasad Yadav, is in Delhi recovering from eye surgery. Meanwhile, her son and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, is reportedly traveling abroad with his wife and children. Despite Tej Pratap Yadav’s expulsion from the party and living separately, his emotional message underscored the strong bond he shares with his mother, adding a personal touch to the occasion.
The recent Bihar Assembly election saw RJD’s disappointing performance, securing only 25 seats.
