RLD MP Rajkumar Sangwan raised concerns about the absence of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, from crucial all-party meetings. Sangwan emphasized the importance of such meetings for the smooth functioning of Parliament, urging Opposition leaders to actively participate to avoid disruptions.

Sangwan highlighted Gandhi’s consistent non-attendance at these meetings, stating that his presence is vital for parliamentary operations. He stressed the need for constructive contributions from all stakeholders to address raised issues effectively and ensure the efficient functioning of Parliament.

Home Minister Amit Shah is set to lead an all-party meeting to discuss the evolving crisis in West Asia, addressing concerns about its impact on India’s economy and security. The meeting, scheduled for 5 P.M., will include key ministers like External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and a briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on the situation in West Asia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s characterization of the West Asia situation as an “unprecedented crisis” has prompted increased consultations with political leaders. Opposition parties, including Congress, have called for detailed discussions in Parliament, with Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge advocating for a comprehensive debate on the issue.
