The Rolling Stones icon Keith Richards is set to become a great-grandfather soon. His granddaughter, Ella Richards, announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Sascha von Bismarck on Instagram. Ella, aged 29, is the daughter of Marlon Richards and Lucie de la Falaise, Keith’s son and a late model, respectively.
The news of Ella’s pregnancy marks Keith’s first experience as a great-grandfather. Ella and Sascha, a photographer, have been together for years, publicly confirming their relationship in early 2023. Ella expressed comfort with Sascha capturing her photos during a Tatler cover shoot interview.
Various figures from the fashion and film industries, such as Stella Maxwell and Poppy Delevingne, congratulated Ella on her pregnancy announcement. Keith’s bandmate, Mick Jagger, is the only other member of The Rolling Stones who has previously become a great-grandfather, achieving this milestone in 2014 when his granddaughter Assisi Jackson welcomed her first child.
Sascha von Bismarck, Ella’s partner, hails from an aristocratic German family and is the younger brother of photographer Count Nikolai von Bismarck. Their lineage traces back to Otto von Bismarck, the influential 19th-century German statesman known for unifying Germany.
