Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Krunal Pandya emphasized his passion for winning trophies in cricket, following the team’s victory over Gujarat Titans by five wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium to secure their fifth IPL championship. Pandya, who scored 226 runs and took 14 wickets this season, had previously experienced IPL success with the Mumbai Indians before joining RCB, making them the third team to achieve consecutive titles.
Expressing his delight, Pandya stated, “Winning trophies has always been my biggest motivation in cricket because there’s no feeling quite like lifting a championship. Individual performances and match wins bring happiness, but winning a tournament is something truly special. Throughout my career, I’ve visualized and manifested success at the team level, and winning a fifth IPL trophy in eleven years is incredibly satisfying.”
Senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had a remarkable season with 28 wickets, commended the progress of younger bowlers like Rasikh Salam within the team. In the final match, Rasikh’s exceptional performance, claiming 3-27 with his line, length, and variations, made him the standout bowler for RCB. Kumar highlighted the importance of young players’ dedication and effort in enhancing their skills, acknowledging their growth as a significant positive for the team.
