The Russian Embassy in India recently organized a cleanliness drive in New Delhi as part of its “We Stand for Cleanness” environmental project, aligning with India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The drive, which took place around the embassy’s residential premises, saw active participation from diplomats, officials, and staff members, aiming to promote environmental awareness and collective responsibility for cleanliness.
Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, described the effort as a symbolic yet meaningful contribution to a global cause, emphasizing the importance of living in cleaner environments for the benefit of countries worldwide. Diana Alipov, the Ambassador’s wife, emphasized the need for behavioral change to address littering problems, stressing the importance of educating people not to litter.
