Russian forces launched strikes on defence enterprises in Kyiv, as confirmed by the Russian Defence Ministry. The strikes involved high-precision ground- and air-based weapons targeting Ukraine’s defence industry facilities in the city.
The Ministry specified that the strikes hit facilities involved in producing, assembling, and storing unmanned aerial vehicles and their components. This included infrastructure facilities in the Port of Chernomorsk in the Odesa region used for storing materials for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
One of the targets was an industrial enterprise called Smart Intelligent System, known for producing various unmanned aerial vehicles and components. The attack also focused on the assembly and storage site of unmanned aerial vehicles in Kyiv, where a significant number of drones were manufactured monthly.
Additionally, the strikes targeted fuel and lubricant tanks at the Port of Chernomorsk in the Odesa region, impacting supplies intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian air defence systems also intercepted guided aerial bombs and Ukrainian fixed-wing drones along the frontline.
